The device--which uses a high-quality aperture grille to deliver a high-resolution, high-contrast picture--broadcasts up to 181 channels on its 9-inch screen, though far fewer when used in transit. It also offers both an AC power adapter (for locations such as a kitchen counter and bookshelf) and a 12-volt adapter that hooks up through a car's cigarette lighter. Non-cable reception is ensured through the TV's telescoping antenna, which attaches to the top of the TV.
