Sony FDL-250T Watchman Portable Color LCD TV, Silver

Sony's FDL-250T Watchman portable LCD television comes with a 2.5-inch active-matrix TFT (thin-film resistor) screen that provides clear, color images and a range of viewable angles. When folded, the device measures a mere 3.6 by 4.3 by 2.8 inches (W x H x D), and weighs about a pound with its 3 AA batteries (not included). It sports a flashy silver finish and a folding design.

The television is equipped with Sony's Straptenna neck strap that lets you wear the TV around your neck. The 51-inch strap also doubles as the unit's antenna, though you may also hook up an optional antenna cable for even better reception if desired. A built-in speaker delivers sound, while a monaural headphone jack lets you plug in a pair of headphones (not included) for private listening.

Additionally, the FDL-250T may be connected to external video components, such as a camcorder or a portable DVD player for convenient viewing on the road (though not, of course, while driving). When connecting an external device such as a camcorder, use a 3-ring minijack (.125-inch) audio/video connector such as those supplied with most camcorders. The Watchman offers a DC power input for use only with a Sony AC-E45HG AC adapter (not included).

Poor broadcast reception may occur when viewing the TV behind a mountain or a tall building, inside a train or car, in places subject to strong interference (as near a high-tension wire, a neon sign, or a radio station), below air-traffic routes, in underground shopping centers, tunnels, or in solid buildings.
